The goal is to change every asset, which includes all the rest of the assets already listed, but also Vouchers and Booster Packs. Blinds aren't currently in the plans.

This mod doesn't and won't change any mechanics, and will only add cosmetic differences to the game.

This mod requires SMODS beta.

The full name is Steamodded, but most places shorten it to SMODS.

To install SMODS beta:

Two options, manual, or you can try a tool that's still currently in a beta of it's own:

Balatro Mod Manager

The mod manager is simpler and much easier to work with, but is Windows only, and as it's still in a beta, there can be things that don't work as intended.

It does not come packaged with SMODS by default, so you'll need to search for and find Steamodded to run Balustro.

Afterwards, you should be able to drag and drop Balustro in and launch.

bromomethane, Mod Manager Fork

This is a fork of the above mod manager, meaning it uses the code of the one above, but another developer has changed things about it and put their own spin on it. Notably, this also has Linux and Steam Deck support natively, but you can view other changes at the bottom of the  page.

To manually install SMODS, I recommend the SMODS Guide, it should cover everything you need - if you run into issues, I recommend popping into the Balatro discord and going to the modding-help channel for help, or you can leave a comment on this mod and I or a kind Samaritan may help out, though it may take a decent amount of time as I don't check the mod page daily. There's a link to the official discord at the bottom of this page.

SMODS is in BETA - There's still frequent changes, but you should be good if you update once every few weeks.

My Recommended Mods

These are a few mods that I can't live without.

Also, if you still want Steam achievements with mods, you can turn it on by pressing Mods on the title screen, then the Config tab at the top of the window that it brings up and change Achievements to Enabled.

You can probably search these mods in the Mod Manager, or get their releases from these links.
