This download ships no game files. A small app (plus its word list and mute plan) applies

the edits to YOUR OWN installed copy of Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Nothing from the game is

distributed here -- you must own the game. Backups of your original files are kept automatically;

click Restore at any time to revert.

Who is this for?

  []Playing around family -- Odyssey's world, mythology, and hundred-hour story are already

  epic; the language doesn't need to add to that when kids are in the room, parents are visiting, or

  a partner is working nearby.[/]

  []Personal preference -- some people want the naval battles, the romance options, the Greek

  adventure, the gods, and the open world without the strong language. This is a content-preference

  toggle, not a statement about how the game should be played.[/]

  The rest of the game -- Kassandra, Alexios, the gods, the naval battles, the story -- is

  completely untouched. Only the flagged words change.

  What this mod does

  Assassin's Creed Odyssey features strong language throughout its English dialogue, including the

  F-word, S-word, B-word, A-word, D-word, vain religious oaths, and Greek phonetic profanity that

  appears frequently across the base game and DLC. This patch targets the full English audio and

  subtitle surface:

  • []2,165 English voice clips word-muted -- the flagged word is silenced at the exact

    timestamp; surrounding speech is preserved; clip length and pacing are unchanged.

    Covers shared NPC dialogue, Kassandra / Alexios player lines, and all DLC voice lines.[/]

    []920 subtitle and dialogue string entries masked (460 per forge) -- flagged words replaced

    with same-length asterisks. Context rules preserve genuine deity references ("a god", "become a

    god") while masking vain uses. 2 forge archives patched.[/]

    []Complete DLC audio coverage -- all 14 narrative DLC folders with English audio are patched

    (dlc_3 through dlc_58, including Elysium / Torment of Hades / Fate of Atlantis content).[/]

    []Both protagonist voices covered -- Alexios (sounds_eng_male) and Kassandra

    (sounds_eng_female) player-VO banks are both patched, as are all gender-split title-update and

    DLC PCKs.[/]

    []English only -- other language audio packs and subtitle packages are untouched.[/]

    How it works

    The app reads a pre-computed word list and a set of precise audio mute windows derived from the

    original game files. At apply time it:

    • []Backs up each target file to %LOCALAPPDATA%\GameScrubber\assassins-creed-odyssey\ before touching anything.[/]

      []Edits the two English subtitle forge archives in place (using the forge's own Oodle compression

      library from your install -- no game files redistributed).[/]

      []Re-encodes only the 2,165 audio clips that contain flagged words (each at the exact word

      timestamp, preserving surrounding speech).[/]

      No internet connection needed. No AI runs at install time. Every change can be reversed with the

      Restore button.

      Audio: the 2,165 voiced clips that contain flagged words play with silence where the word

      was. The rest of the line -- context, tone, pacing -- is intact.
