Oder River Map

This map was created by my friend "Wu Gou Ying Xue Ming". The Oder River Map covers the central European strategic waterway, forming the border between Germany and Poland and flowing north into the Baltic Sea. A key barrier on the Cold War “Central Front” between NATO and the Warsaw Pact, it features a wide river, dense water networks, and numerous bridges and crossing sites, with flat terrain ideal for large-scale armored river crossings and deep thrusts. During the Cold War, it was the planned decisive battleground between the Soviet Group of Soviet Forces in Germany and NATO’s Northern Army Group, and a critical breakthrough point in Warsaw Pact plans to push to the English Channel. Ideal for division-level river crossings, bridgehead battles, armored counterattacks, and deep defense, it stands as an iconic wargaming scenario for Cold War continental European decisive battle.
