Kuwait Map

This map was created by my friend "Wu Gou Ying Xue Ming". The Kuwait Map covers the core oil hub on the northwestern shore of the Persian Gulf, bordering Iraq to the north and Saudi Arabia to the south, and commanding the northern maritime chokepoint of the Gulf. Dominated by flat desert plains, it features a long coastline and strategic islands (Bubiyan, Failaka, etc.), with no natural rivers or mountains and scarce freshwater. As one of the world’s top oil-rich nations (holding ~6% of global reserves), Kuwait was the epicenter of Middle Eastern energy rivalry from the Cold War to the post-Cold War era, the site of Iraq’s 1990 invasion and the 1991 Gulf War’s Operation Desert Storm, where coalition forces conducted air-ground integrated operations, desert armored assaults, and urban perimeter battles. A frontline for U. S.-Soviet proxy confrontation in the Gulf during the late Cold War, it later became a key pillar of U. S.-led Middle Eastern order. Ideal for brigade- to division-level desert maneuver, key-point seizure, port blockade, and energy facility defense wargaming, it stands as a classic scenario for modern high-tech local warfare and Middle Eastern geopolitical rivalry.
