Korea Cheorwon Map

This map was created by my friend "Wu Gou Ying Xue Ming". The Cheorwon Map covers the core hub of the “Iron Triangle” in central Korea, located on the frontline of the inter-Korean Military Demarcation Line. It controls the critical rail and road arteries linking Seoul, Wonsan, and Mount Kumgang, serving as the strategic transportation choke point of the Korean War’s central front. Featuring a mix of plains, rolling hills, and river valleys, it was the main battlefield of the 1951 Cheorwon Blockade (where the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army’s 63rd Corps turned the tide and stabilized the 38th Parallel front), as well as the site of fierce battles for White Horse Hill, Arrowhead Hill, and Triangle Hill. During the Cold War, it stood as a frontline hub for U. S.-Soviet proxy confrontation in Northeast Asia, remaining under long-term military standoff and DMZ control. Ideal for battalion- to division-level mountain warfare, key-point seizure, rail hub control, and deep defense wargaming, it represents a classic scenario for Korean War and Cold War Northeast Asia rivalry.
