NTC 1982 - Counterattack In Red Pass

This time it is closer to a 1:1 representation of the final mission of that campaign. Some changes had to be made of course. The map is expanded a bit, the player has more anti-air due to what AB2 allows you to buy, and the setup area is necessarily larger. The different level of detail in the map also makes it play differently due to the lack of micro-terrain. With all that said, I think it makes for a fun scenario in AB2. August 1982 1) Situation: Welcome back to the National Training Center! Again you take on the role of the commander of Company Team B in one of the early force-on-force training rotations. Today your company has been placed on the Battalion's flank in a position that is expected to be quiet due to the defensible nature of the terrain. However, scouts have reported at least one full Motorized Infantry Battalion (MRB) advancing on your position. It is expected that the OPFOR want to break through our line, catch the main body of the task force unprepared and run rampant in our rear area. That must NOT happen! You have been ordered to delay the attacking enemy force and defend your area of operation (AO). 2) Mission: It is the commander's intent that upon contacting the enemy you delay them for a minimum of 25 minutes, giving Company Team A time to advance to your sector and link up with you to defeat the enemy forces in your AO. However, fulfilling your mission must not come at the cost of your command. Ensure that your command remains operationally viable whilst undertaking this task.
