📋 About This Mod
Re-roll your game settings on a schedule, streamer-style. Adds a Randomize button and padlocks to the Sandbox Options screen, plus an auto-randomizer that fires manually, every morning, or after each blood moon. Seeded, reproducible,
Settings Randomizer
Shakes up your playthrough by rolling random gameplay settings - loot abundance, XP, zombie speed, day length, blood moon, damage, crafting, traders, and the rest of the Sandbox Options.
Roll them once with a button when you set up a game, or let the mod re-randomize while you play so no two weeks feel the same. Rolls are saved into your world, so they survive a reload or a server restart.
Great for streamers, "chaos" runs, and anyone who wants the game to keep surprising them.
When does it re-roll?
[]Manual - every N in-game days at an hour you choose. A fresh game set to 7 days first rolls on day 8.
[]Every morning - every in-game day at dawn.
[]After blood moon - the moment each blood moon ends. Survive the night, wake up to a new world.
On "Every morning": dawn is not a fixed hour. The game derives it from your Daylight Length setting - 18h = 4am, 14h = 5am, 10h = 7am, 20h = 2am. Since the randomizer can roll that setting, padlock Daylight Length if you want the hour to stay put. Every roll's summary tells you exactly when the next one lands.
Keep it as chaotic as you want
[]Per-setting padlocks - a lock on each setting row. Locked settings are skipped by the button and the auto-randomizer alike.
[]Chaos level - keep each rolled value within N steps of its default, or of its current value so a long run drifts, instead of picking anywhere in its range. Stops a roll from stacking nightmare sprinters with 25% loot and 4x damage taken.
[]Mutation count - re-roll only N settings each time instead of all ~150, so every week has an identity you can actually read.
[]Category filters and per-setting ranges - restrict rolls to certain option tabs, or pin a setting to a slice of its values without locking it outright.
Share and reproduce your run
[]Seeded runs - set a seed and the whole roll sequence becomes reproducible. Two people with the same seed get the same rolls on the same days.
[]Shareable Sandbox Codes - every roll produces the game's standard code. Paste it into a vanilla game to play those exact settings. No mod required on their end.
[]Undo - go back to the previous roll. Run it again to redo.
Everything else
[]Randomize button on the Sandbox Options screen - instantly rolls every setting that isn't locked.
[]Auto-Randomize panel - an in-game button opens a panel for the mode, interval, hour, chaos level, settings-per-roll, and toggles. No file editing, no restarting.
[]Per-save settings - each save keeps its own schedule, locks, and roll shaping. Turning auto-randomize on for one world never touches another.
[]On-screen summary and chat - see what changed, and when the next roll lands. The chat line stays in your scrollback.
[]Console command - randomizer (alias rnd): now, status, code, apply, undo, mode, seed, chaos, mutations, persist, and more.
[]Config file - randomizer.xml for anything you'd rather set by hand. Dedicated servers use this.
[]Your settings survive updates - put your changes in randomizer.local.xml beside it. That file ships in no download, so nothing ever writes over it. Matters most on a dedicated server, where randomizer.xml is the live config.
Dedicated / hosted servers
Install on the server only. Clients do not need the mod. Everything runs server-side and syncs with stock game packets, including the chat summary, so unmodded clients connect and play normally. No custom net packages are used, on purpose: one would make the game kick every client that lacks the mod.
Set EACEnabled=false in serverconfig.xml.
Optional, and worth it if you play with friends: give them the mod too. A vanilla client gets the values the game keeps in GameStats the instant they are rolled, but the rest — melee/block/incoming damage, movement speed, cra
