📋 About This Mod
FNS Make Quest Rewards Great Again
The purpose of this mod, is to return Trader Quest Rewards to what they were in A21.
Now you actually have the chance of getting to choose from things like weapons as a quest reward option instead of 300 wood. You should see a weapon at least 25% of the time you claim a reward on average.
TFP chose to slow item gain so this mod does break their established balance and can be considered mildly overpowered. You will get better rewards sooner through completing quests, so that can possibly shorten the length of your playthrough. However, I believe that choice should be yours if you elect to use this mod.
The current version of the game's vanilla reward system for quests doesn't give you enough incentive to interact with it. I made this mod because there were a lot of users who preferred the old quest reward system; you know, getting properly rewarded for a quest. Instead of padding out a game unnecessarily, this mod respects your time. If you like a slower game, don't complain about this mod, just don't use it.
If you notice any issues with the mod, have suggestions for improvements, or observe any mod compatibility issues, please let me know.
This Mod pairs well with:
1. The best AIO weapons pack for 7D2D:
IZY-All in One Gun Pack v4. 0
2. If you want to see weapons actually show up in weapon bags, please use:
Sensible Lootz
3. If you want to see special ammo types show up in vanilla ammo container loot, use:
Black Wolf's Better Loot Spawns
4. Do you wish you could play with all of those EFT weapons outside of the EFT overhaul? Now you can! This one adds the weapons, ammo, mods, injectables, first aid, and all of the ingredient components to craft them from the popular Escape from Tarkov Overhaul: EFT Extraction Pack v2
Notices:
Notice 1: If you use other mods that effect Trader Rewards in the quests.xml file, this mod might cause a conflict.

Big thanks to StallionsDen and FuriousRamsay for showing me how to improve this mod.
Mod Info:
You may choose to keep EAC enabled, but I disable it.
This is a Server Side mod.
Help, I don't know what server side and client side mean?
When people say a mod is Server-Side only, they mean only the server (host computer) running the game in multiplayer needs to have the mod installed.
When they say Client-Side mod, that means every computer connected (including the server) needs the mod(s) installed.
If you are playing single player, only you need it, so it doesn't matter.
If you are playing multiplayer, or on a dedicated server, everyone (including the server) needs the Client side mods installed.

FNS Make Quest Rewards Great Again restores 7 Days to Die trader quest rewards to the A21 system, giving weapons as options at least 25% of the time instead of common junk like 300 wood. It's for players who want faster progression and more meaningful rewards, though it intentionally breaks the game's current balance.

✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 740 endorsements and over 57k downloads.
- Directly addresses a common complaint about vanilla quest rewards being underwhelming.
- Actively updated (June 2026) and author is responsive to feedback.
⚠️ Cons
- Intentionally breaks game balance, making rewards overpowered and potentially shortening playthroughs.
- Requires manual installation and may need compatibility checks with other mods.
- No explicit install instructions provided in the description.
For 7 Days to Die players who miss the A21 quest reward system and want meaningful loot like weapons instead of filler. If you prefer a slower, more balanced progression, skip this mod. It's also great for modpack enthusiasts who want to pair it with weapon and loot overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod changes quest rewards, test it on a new save or backup your current world to avoid unexpected balance shifts.
- If you're using other loot or weapon mods, check the author's recommended list for compatibility—they've tested these pairings.
- For 7 Days to Die, ensure you're not using EAC if you're on a dedicated server, as mods like this require it to be disabled.
