📋 About This Mod
"Bollocks." I'll take no responsability for soldiers that die when assigned with this voice.Jokes aside, today, in order to celebrate Bean's birthday, We bring you the possibility of having him killed in yet another way(s).Including audio
Right, but first we gotta give HUGE thanks to PsyCHo. He singlehandedly made this possible by either guiding me on how to get the audio from some of these games, or he outright gave me the audio files, cause yo, yo yo, what do you know, this is a collab! So, if you're an Xcom 2 player and don't go show him some love I will recreate my favourite Sean Bean deaths on every single one of you! Seriously, thanks bro!
And here's where I get into the specifics and tell you how nice and numerous are the lines we were able to salvage...but the truth is that since most of his characters were dialogue and narration based, we chopped so much stuff up that it's hard to tell how many unique lines we have. I can throw you a bone and say that the banks (you know, the files that contain the lines that play during missions) have +1700 audio files when put together.
There's also a big deal we gotta address. Like I said, Bean's characters were 90% dialogue and narration based, so expect PLENTY of chill lines, if not a bit monotone. You can pretty much expect him to be a chill, intellectual guy that narrates poetry or the struggles of mankind (CIV VI), while also being shy, not being up to the task and being into occultism (Oblivion), while also also being a bit cocky and playful (Hitman 2). "What about his Kholat persona?" you may ask, to which I reply "say hi to those Sectoid Commanders and Ethereals for me ;)".
Ah yeah there's also a SINGLE line from a movie of his, but I won't spoil it. If you hear it you'll know.
Also, his Psi lines are long as ****. I tried to keep the lines for "normal actions" short, but be warned. The Psi lines are LONG, and they will take some imagination to have them fit such actions but hey, I'm the guy that sorted the files for the actions, and you're the guy/gal that decides if they're cool using this one on your squad! I know this one is one of those where I milked the crap outta everything to have "usable" lines, but hey, I didn't have much to properly work with, and this one REALLY drained me, I had to work on somebody else that had MANY more files as a distraction.
Here, take a look at 25% of this huge deal:

Installation for Long War users:
1) To install...go to XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\XComGame\CookedPCConsole, create a folder named "Voice" if you need it, and place the first folder that came inside the .rar file.
2) Then go to XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\XComGame\Config, open DefaultContent, then press ctrl + f / ctrl + b (one of 'em should work), and search for eCharVoice_FemaleBlueshirt1. You'll end up with a highlighted line that will look a little bit like this: VoicePackageInfo=(VoiceType=eCharVoice_FemaleBlueshirt1,ArchetypeName="Voice_BSFVoice1. BSFVoice1").
3) Below it (or anywhere around the voicepacks section for that matter), you gotta place this voicepack's specific config line, here, let me show you how I currently have it:
; Sean Bean (RUBY)
VoicePackageInfo=(VoiceType=eCharVoice_MaleSoldier8,Language=35,ArchetypeName="MaleVoice63_Canadian. Voice_MaleVoice63_Canadian")
Notes: see that "Language=X" part? Change it to whatever you see fit. From 0 to 6 it's the vanilla EW languages (English, Italian, French, Spanish, you know the drill).
If you, for example, want to have this vp in the British English section, you gotta change it into Language=7. Then you gotta change the "Voice_Male/FemaleSoldierX" into whatever you need. If you already have 3 male voices for British English, and you want to add another one, you'll have to have the new one as "Voice_MaleSoldier4,Language=7". Otherwise, if you have 2 that look the same there, one will "override" the other, and the game will detect one of them, instead of both. You gotta tidy up up them config lines if you download a buncha vps, ya' know!
You can have up to 9 voices in each "Language" for males, but only up to 6 with females, and 2 with MECs. If you go beyond that, the game will start overriding some of them, and you won't be able to use a couple of 'em. You just gotta try and label them as you see fit!
If the installation guide didn't made any sense to you, follow this guide:

Remember to paste this voicepack's specific config line!
Big thanks to ObelixDk for his lovely, lovely guide.
