Legendary Ship Mods adds craftable legendary ship equipment modifications to X4. These modifications use a new Legendary quality tier in the ship modification workbench and are unlocked through Boso Ta research after the vanilla MK3 modification research has been completed.

  Legendary Modifications

  The mod currently adds these Legendary modifications:

  • []Bulwark: shield capacity overcharge.[/]

    []Nova: shield recharge rate boost.[/]

    []Time Rift: shield recharge delay reduction.[/]

    []Spear: engine travel thrust and mobility tuning.[/]

    []Dimension: chassis mass and hull tuning.[/]

    []Arctic: weapon cooling modification.[/]

    []Bomber: weapon damage modification.[/]

    Some existing MK3 equipment modifications are also adjusted to keep the Legendary tier balanced against the strongest vanilla options.

    Research Unlock

    Legendary crafting does not appear immediately. After all four vanilla MK3 modification researches are complete, Boso Ta creates an introductory mission offer. Completing it unlocks four analysis mission offers:

    • []Chassis Analysis: collect Xenon combat-ship destruction telemetry.[/]

      []Engine Analysis: destroy capital-ship engines while personally piloting.[/]

      []Shield Analysis: destroy capital-ship shield generators while personally piloting.[/]

      []Weapon Analysis: deal direct combat damage while personally piloting.[/]

      Each analysis mission grants mission data that must be delivered to Boso Ta in person. After delivery, the matching Legendary research entry appears in the research tree.

      Experimental Catalyst

      Legendary recipes require one Experimental Catalyst in addition to their normal ingredients.
