E begone

This mod does a few things.

1. It removes the E suffix from the new L and XL ships, eg "Odysseus E" is now just "Odysseus".

2. It removes player-access to the blueprints for the old ship models, they are hidden.

3. It swaps the model of the abandoned Odysseus Vanguard in Faulty Logic to the new one.

Usage

Intended for use in new saves and I wont be offering support for installing mid-save.

However, from my limited testing the only issue that arises if you do install mid-save is that if you already have the old ship blueprints they still appear in your encyclopaedia and the abandoned ship does not get switched. As always with modding, backup your saves and check things are working ok before saving/continuing with your game.

But why?

As Egosoft continue to work on updating the old models the overall visual quality of the game becomes more consistent in terms of both design and model quality. The presence of the old models ruins this consistency for me, so much like how the old npc models were removed by egosoft when they added updated ones I would rather remove the old ships entirely.

With the old ships removed the E suffix becomes superfluous, but also serves as a reminder of the inferior quality of the past so I am removing that too. 7. 0 will be a fresh start.

I made this mod for myself but there may be someone else out there that will appreciate it so here it is.
