WHAT DOES THE PRESET DO?This is a guide to install a total of ~22GB of High-Res Texture Mods plus a few nice tweaks AND a Custom made Reshade Preset to tie it all together.

The ReShade preset will give you LOTS of detail with or without the recommended mods installed.

It is carefully tailored to respect the vanilla feeling of the game with a little twist:

CAN YOU HANDLE THE CRISPSNESS

- Sharpening algorithms where it matters

- Make the most of the downloaded HD textures in the list, or install the preset without them

HARMONIZED SHADOWS & HIGHLIGHTS

- Shadows are toned down, we're not going for a fake HDR here.

- Interiors are brighter and easier to read.

- Exteriors have a natural pop no matter how far away (clouds, snow, mountains..)

NATURAL COLORS

- What is supposed to have color is now more vibrant (leaves, wood, dirt)

- What isn't supposed to have color, now has a cautious sun-warmed tone applied.

- Blue and Purple tints are trimed since they looked too artificial.

RECOMMENDED MODS FOR THIS PRESET

  If you are a standard NexusMods user, only dowload one by one - if you download several mods at the same time it will cap your bandwith and throw you a network error - or you can make use of the premium free trial just like I did 😄

2. Create a new folder labeled "Mods" inside the game folder, something like this:

Games\The Witcher 3 - Complete Edition\Mods

3.  Improved RT Reflections and Shadows will need you to copy and paste the folders into the Witcher 3 main instance and overwrite.

For every other mod in the list, bring every compressed file into the Mods folder and extract them.

• []For example, if a "HD Animals Reworked" file is in conflict with "HD Reworked Project" always give priority to specific mods over the all-in-one HD Reworked ones by right clicking and giving it a #1 priority. [/]

  []When you hover the mouse over the HD Reworked Project file, it will indicate that it is overridden just as we want.

  This makes the game load the HD Animals textures first (which have better quality) and thus ending the conflict. [/]
