Slide Everywhere NG - Next Gen Sword Surf

Description

Slide Everywhere NG brings back the ability to freely slide and sword-surf around the world in The Witcher 3 Next-Gen 4. 04.

I originally came across the Slide Everywhere feature in Geralt of Rivia's Pro Witcher 3 by eutirion and really liked the idea. Since the original mod was made for the classic version of the game and does not work properly with the current Next-Gen version, I wanted to bring the concept back with a focused version built for Next-Gen.

The goal is simple: make sliding a fun, controllable movement option that feels natural during exploration.

Built and tested for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen 4. 04.

Installation instructions

Controls

• []Start Sword Surf: Press Jump (Space by default) while landing / transitioning from a jump.[/]

  []Steer: Use your normal movement controls (WASD by default).[/]

  []Jump out of the surf: Press Jump again while surfing.[/]

  []Stop surfing: Press Sprint or slow down enough for the slide to end.[/]

  []Fall-to-Surf: Falling from a sufficient height can automatically transition Geralt into a sword surf when he reaches the ground.[/]

Controls follow your in-game key bindings, so rebinding Jump, Sprint, or movement controls will also affect the mod.

No additional gameplay mods are required.

The included DLC files are required for the slide particle effects and should be installed together with the main mod.

Compatibility

The mod overrides:

In that case, use Script Merger or manually merge the conflicting changes.

The original mod included a Slide Everywhere component that inspired this project. I found the idea while looking through older Witcher 3 mods and wanted to recreate that kind of movement for the current Next-Gen version of the game.
