Once upon a time, talented Polish developers poured out their hearts and souls into a magical game. Taking as inspiration the brilliant work of Andrzej Sapkowski, they managed to bring to life the essence of his prose in rich detail and nuance. The game came to be known as The Witcher; this is my attempt to recreate one of its most interesting and celebrated aspects:

In the odd case you're visiting for the first time, this page is for the old-gen version of the game. The full description of the mod can be found in the current-gen page. Just follow the 'Alchemy' link above.

Mechanically, the two editions are identical -as of the writing of this. Although, this may change in the future since 1. 4 will be the last non bug-fix update this edition will receive. Currently, the only difference lies in the fairly extensive changes to some of the alchemy items. These changes, which aren't included in the next-gen edition of the mod, are listed below:

Potions

• []Tawny Owl: tweaked from 5, 8 and 10% to 8, 12 and 16% stamina regen.

  []Maribor Forest: changed from . 15, . 15, . 15 to . 12, . 16, . 20 adrenaline points gain.

  []Black Blood: Now returns 50, 75 and 100% of the damage taken, instead of 10, 20 and 30%.

  []Full Moon: Now increases health by 15, 20 and 25% instead of a flat 300, 650 and 1000hp. The superior version now restores 1% HP per percentage point of toxicity instead of a meager flat bonus.

  []White Raffard's Decoction: Now heals for 33, 66 and 100%, instead of 35, 60 and 100%. Each tier grants dmg invulnerability for 1, 2 and 3 seconds, respectively.

  []Swallow: Heals for 1. 0, 1. 25 and 1. 5% of total HP per second instead of flat amounts. Combat and out-of-combat values are the same.

  []Thunderbolt: Changed from 25, 30, 35 to 25, 33, 33% attack power. And base duration from 30, 60, 90 to 60, 90, 90.

  []Blizzard: Now works only in combat but doesn't need a kill. Adjusted duration.

[]Succubus: Increased maximum stack from 30 to 60% damage.

[]Troll: Regenerates 0. 5 and 2. 5% vitality in and out of combat, respectively.

[]Grave Hag: Vitality regen changed to 0. 25% per enemy slain.

[]Leshen: Increased returned damage
