Modern Compass Navigation

A Skyrim-style compass bar for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen - a slim, elegant strip at the top of the screen showing where everything is: your quests, herbs, enemies, points of interest, merchants, signposts and custom map pins, each with its real in-game map icon and live distance. Stop opening the map every twenty seconds.

Recommendation for total immersion: turn of mini map completely when you use this mod.

Installation

1. Main mod (required) - install with Vortex, or extract manually so you get:

The Witcher 3\Mods\modModernCompassNavigation\content\...2. Settings menu (optional, recommended) - open bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\dx11filelist.txt in any text editor and add this line at the end (trailing semicolon included):

modCompassNavigation.xml;Do the same in dx12filelist.txt in the same folder. (Next-gen only loads menu XMLs listed in those two files - or use Menu Filelist Updater to do it automatically OR install the mod using The Witcher Mod Manager to automatically configure it.)

Without this file the mod simply uses its defaults - it works fine either way.
