Features

Purchased skills stay logically active without needing physical slots, covering combat, signs, alchemy and general skills. The mod preserves point/rank requirements, applies existing skill effects and tracks activation to avoid repeated application during refresh/load. Temporary ability blocks remain respected. Physical slots still determine mutagen color links; Blood and Wine retains one selected mutation.

This substantially increases build power: removing extra slot tabs does not offset having all purchased bonuses active. There is no settings menu or Core dependency.

Requirements and installation

The Witcher 3 Remastered 5. 0 on PC. Legacy 1. 32/4.x compatibility is not established.

No other Malaombra mod is required.

Install this archive with Vortex. Remove Perks Always Active (general-only) and extra-slot Tab List More Slots/modSSS_v5 implementations first; review/remove only merges that retain their ability-manager code, preserving unrelated merges. For manual installation, copy modMalaombraSkills into the game Mods folder. Keep a pre-installation manual save.

Compatibility and limitations

Before uninstalling, reset abilities while the mod remains installed, save separately, close the game and remove it; alternatively restore the pre-mod save. Removing the script alone cannot clean saved effects/tracking. Native UI descriptions may still say skills need equipping. Latest joint authored-suite WCC compilation succeeds; retail ability transitions/respec still require confirmation.

Release status

Version 0. 1. 0-dev. Development release used in the author's personal Vortex setup. Authored scripts have passed joint REDkit compilation and automated checks; this does not establish every retail behavior or every third-party mod combination. Back up saves before installation. No vanilla assets or third-party mod source is redistributed.
