This mod is inspired by my previous Better Close Camera mod. Enhanced Close Camera is a simple mod to change the Next Gen close camera position with some presets. Several options are available - you can adjust the camera position for each state (exploring, combat, and riding) and move the camera closer, farther, and righter.

You can tell that similar mods already exist, but they offer overly complex settings and you need to spend a lot of time tweaking the camera preset to look good and consistent.

There's also an additional setting to enable cinematic camera shake effect during exploration and combat states inspired by God of War.

English and Russian languages are available for the settings menu, and a .csv translation file is also included, so you can make your own translation if necessary. There are two versions - for vanilla 4. 04a version of the game, and for W3EE Redux 1. 39i Next Gen.

• []Vanilla - just copy files to the Mods folder or install with mod manager, merge scripts if need. Add enhancedCloseCamera.xml setting file to \bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\dx12filelist.txt (or dx11filelist.txt)

  []W3EE Redux - copy files to the Mods folder or install with mod manager, merge scripts if need, no need to merge with W3EE Redux, just give the priority to my mod. Alternatevely, you can replace the W3EE Redux script with mine. Add enhancedCloseCamera.xml setting file to \bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\dx12filelist.txt (or dx11filelist.txt)

  Known issues

  • []Cinematic camera shake effect is not working when riding horse

    []When cinematic camera shake effect is enabled, sometimes you can see a barely noticeable screen jerk after Geralt stops after running or sprinting, unfortunately, I have not found a workaround to this problem
