Clean Up Low Quality Gear

A small script mod for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen 4. 04 that adds a clean-up action to the inventory menu.

This mod is for clearing low-quality weapons, armor, and crossbows from your inventory without handling each item one by one.

Two action types are available:

- Drops matching gear from your inventory onto the ground.

Disassemble

- Dismantles matching gear and returns its dismantle materials.

Both action types ask for confirmation before changing your inventory. Equipped, held, mounted, quest, NoDrop, Relic, and Witcher/Set items are ignored. Items that cannot be dismantled are ignored by Disassemble versions.

Available versions

Common Only

- Targets Common gear only

Masterwork and Below

- Targets Common and Masterwork gear

Magic and Below

- Targets Common, Masterwork, and Magic gear

Choose either a Drop version or a Disassemble version, then choose the quality range you want. Install only one version at a time.

Target items

- Steel swords

- Silver swords

- Crossbows

- Chest armor

- Pants / trousers

How to use

Open the inventory menu and use the clean-up action:

- Keyboard: Delete

- Controller: L3

A confirmation popup will appear before any items are dropped or dismantled.

Compatibility

This mod modifies inventory menu behavior by adding a custom inventory action.

It may conflict with mods that heavily modify the inventory menu or the same inventory input/context scripts. Use Witcher Script Merger if prompted.

Installation

1. Download one version of the mod.

2. Extract the archive.

3. Copy `modCleanLowQualityGear` to `<The Witcher 3 game directory>/Mods`.

The installed path should look like this:

`<The Witcher 3 game directory>/Mods/modCleanLowQualityGear/content`

Uninstallation

Delete `<The Witcher 3 game directory>/Mods/modCleanLowQualityGear`.

Troubleshooting

If the mod is installed but the new inventory action does not appear, close the game and delete:

`<The Witcher 3 game directory>/content/content0/x64.final.redscripts`

This is a generated script cache, not a mod file. The Witcher 3 creates it after compiling Witcher Script files from the base game and installed mods.

If this cache was created before installing the mod, the game may keep using old compiled script output. Deleting `x64.final.redscripts` forces the game t
