📋 About This Mod
All my mods were made in OG (
1. 31/1. 32 game version), and then the changes were transferred to NG (
4. 04+ game version) scripts. I always post
two separate versions in
one archive if necessary. If there is only one version in the archive, it is universal. If the mod is only for OG, I will especially note this.
If you use a mod manager, you should repack the archive with the mod, leaving in it only what is suitable for your version of the game. Why don't I post separate archives? It's more convenient for me.
Description in English:
A comprehensive mod that makes decoctions more convenient to use, and also, in some cases, more popular. Changes range from minor tweaks to complete effects changes.
Dynamic bonus visualization system
Many vanilla decoctions have dynamic bonuses (like Wyvern), but you actually have no idea about the current status of those bonuses.
This system provides you with data on the current status of such bonuses on the buffs of the corresponding decoctions.
Due to technical limitations, it is impossible to display the bonus and the remaining duration of buffs at the same time, but I found a solution: when you open the radial menu, the format of the buffs changes to the standard one, allowing you to see their remaining duration at any time. The format also switches to standard when the bonus of the current decoction is reset.
You can find out more about the decoctions for which this system is used in the descriptions of specific decoctions below.
Improving the ‘Metamorphosis’ mutation
The vanilla mutation grants you random decoction effects, excluding only Werewolf and Fiend. However, many other decoctions are also extremely situational, so there is a high chance of getting useless effects.
This mod contains a revision of this logic: some decoctions are completely excluded from the list as too situational, others can only be added under certain conditions.
You will find details about this next to the descriptions of specific decoctions below.
In vanilla it simply increases the chance of a critical hit – this, in my opinion, is too banal.
My effect is this:
Increases critical hit chance over time during a given battle until it reaches a certain limit. The accumulated bonus is reduced upon receiving damage by an enemy attack. After the end of the battle, the bonus gradually decreases.
Visualization: the buff shows the current accumulated bonus, a filled circle means that the bonus has reached its maximum (+50%).
The vanilla effect is just stupid. Damage resistance based on backpack weight is just... seriously?
My effect is this:
Gives a chance to avoid damage from an enemy attack. The greater the damage of the attack and the more severely the witcher is injured, the higher the chance (no more than 70%).
So, this decoction gives you more opportunities to make mistakes with impunity, especially in battle with strong enemies.
Additionally, although you don't take damage, the reaction animation to being hit still works.
When the effect is triggered, the sound of a blocked hit is played.
Personal to me a temporary increase in the number of alchemical items by 1 seems useless and even annoying.
My effect is this:
If adrenaline points are at maximum, further generation of adrenaline increases the attack power and Sign Intensity (up to a certain limit). The bonus gradually decreases if adrenaline is below the maximum, or after the battle ends.
Visualization: the buff shows the current accumulated bonus, a filled circle means that the bonus has reached its maximum (+50%).
Metamorphosis: the effect can be added via mutation only if you have at least 2 adrenaline points.
Archgriffin
Vanilla's effect is fairly poorly balanced: you spend any amount of stamina to deal damage equal to a fixed percentage of the target's current health (you can have 1 stamina
