📋 About This Mod
This mod is a hub for multiple armor retexture sub-mods i am planning to make during my new TW3 run. Updated for last version of the game, compatible with all dlcs/addons.
INTRODUCTION TO "TAMED COLORS" MOD FOR WITCHER 3 TWH
I decided to start over a game for the witcher 3. My Mod creator senses were tingling a lot on geralt armors. Couldn't find a set where i was peaceful with colors.
I don't have very much time but you can trust me for texture edition this is not my first game to mod. I will be updating some armors here i will "correct" to my tastes at the same rate i progress in the story and depending the set or pieces i prefer to wear. So yes i am starting with the Kaer morhen set but there will be more to come (not everything though), im also aiming some common armors.
My philosophy on this will be the "tamed colors" one, meaning, less saturated leather (less reddish i don't like that), darker colors (want a kinda black knight vibe, but not too dark or black like other geralt retexture mods), some texture fixes (if i see some error or imperfection i know how to fix them)
Come back here from time to time to see if i didn't add any other new retextured piece of armor. I might upload them by sets in case you don't like all of my reworks.
CONTENT
- Kaer morhen armor (also touching viper files i guess, checking later when i will grab this one) : First i didn't put the shoulder chainmail texture on the belly + back like some modder did because i find it really weird idk why. Otherwise the rest of textures i put are very good quality. Whole result is darker and desaturated, but not too dark to avoid "plastic" render. Didn't touch to medaillon, hook or chainmail tone. I tried to make some colors match better among the set.
-
[]Body : Sleeves changed to a dark desaturated brown (light grey was aweful), belt now has different colors/shades but with more harmony. unified leather colors (now 3 leather kind instead of 6).
[
]hands : Changed to darker leather close to torso one. There is a very little blue reflection on shiny leather i could not get rid off because of lame specular & ambient texture files.[]pants : Changed to a color close to the new sleeve color
[]shoes : Changed to darker. Due to lame specular/ambiant files, can't get rid of the blu-ish reflection.
- Common armor This mod touch various common gear piece including gloves, pants and boots/shoes but not body (because these last one are too ugly to motivate me to spend time on them). I have done so far 9 piece of common armor, i will still add up new stuff in that mod at the same time im progressing with my game, so better to keep a look at further updates. for now you have :
[]Skellige pants : Corrected a lot of detail on leather straps, moved to darker brownish/almost black color
[]Green Saroual pants : Moved to dark brown, cor
