OCPD UI and HUD - 1.32

After playing this game too much, you might as well noticed small things bothering you. For me, it was especially the off-centered minimap.

I might build on top of this, if I get bothered by similiar stuff as well. So, the mod name should be something absurd, but fitting. "Vanilla HUD fixed" might have been a little over the top, as this change is really minimal and nitpicking. For this reason I went for something else... This is of course not meant to make fun of the disorder, but to make fun of the obession of some people with this game, like me in this case.

If you cannot spot the difference, you might not need this mod. Maybe this helps you to see it, but beware: Once you see, you can't unsee it!

So what does it do:

• []Centers the weather symbol in its socket (most visible in the top left)

  []Centers the minimap in its socket (most visible in the bottom right / North symbol)

  []Replaces the weather icons with higher quality versions of the 1. 0 version of the game: Somehow CDPR compressed the weather icons in an update, which carried over to our current version 1. 32. While investigating the "Day One" files of The Witcher 3, I found the same weather icons used today, but in almost 2x the resolution. So this replacement is not an upscale, but the actual original higher quality version of the weather icons.

  • []Unzip and drag & drop everything into your Witcher 3 main directory

  Disclaimer compatibility and patches:

  • []Yes, this will conflict with any mod, which edits hud_minimap2.redswf (like Colored Map Marker, E3HUD&UI, VLAD UI, Upscaled HUD Elements, 60fps GUI,  Buffed Monster Tracker, etc.)

    []No, I will not provide any .redswf compatibility patches anymore, even though some of my own mods conflict

    []Exception is 60 fps GUI, as it only takes seconds to do

    []Modding should be fun, it is a hobby. Creating compatibility patch after compatibility patch takes all the joy out of it. This is one of the reasons, why my output slowed down that much.

    []I completely understand though, that you might find other mods more important in comparison!

    []I don't want to be ignorant or have my head in the clouds, so open permissions for anyone wanting to create compatiblity patches!
