📋 About This Mod
With this mod, enemies/NPCs don't get iframes from dodging.
This may seem unfair to them but three things: 1. Even though they can now take damage from the attack they're trying to instantly dodge, they still cover a good distance so mashing follow up attacks will whiff. 2. Sometimes the dodge actually works as a dodge and they get out of the way in time anyways, how crazy is that. 3. They deserve it, I once cornered a werewolf in a cave and it stood in place doing a little jig that made it invulnerable. The combat log said the spirit of dance triumphs over violence and that Geralt does 0 damage. This is his fault.
Compatability: Unfortunately this mod touches the 7k line do-tons-of-things behemoth known as game/actor.ws. It just comments out the npc dodge condition, it's very simple.
This mod removes the invincibility frames during NPC dodges, making combat more punishing and realistic. It's for players who find enemy dodging too forgiving and want a tougher challenge. With 74 endorsements and over 1,200 downloads, it's a niche but appreciated tweak.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Makes combat more challenging by removing cheap dodges.
- Tiny mod that won't bloat your load order.
- Works for any build that relies on hitting enemies.
⚠️ Cons
- May make some fights frustratingly hard if you rely on enemy whiffs.
- Only affects NPCs, not your own dodge, so it's one-sided.
- Compatibility risk with mods that alter dodge mechanics or add new enemies.
This is for players who want a more punishing combat experience and feel enemy dodges are too forgiving. It's also for those who enjoy tweaking game difficulty with small, focused mods.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Pair with a combat overhaul to rebalance enemy aggression.
- Test on a low-level character to see if the difficulty spike is manageable.
- If you use mods that add new dodge animations, check for conflicts.
