📋 About This Mod
A fully reworked UI mod
A complete ink-and-iron interface rework for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - patch 5. 0 "Remastered"
Menus, HUD, fonts, icons, glossary art, main menu and world map, redrawn in one dark, hand-inked style.
Ink & Iron replaces the look of the 5. 0 interface with a single consistent style: near-black ink backgrounds, cream lettering in IM Fell English and gold and iron accents. The default look is the new "fewer lines" style: less framing and fewer rules, with the type, the round item slots and a few gold hairlines doing the work. Every screen keeps 5. 0's own features and layout logic - this is a restyle, not a rewrite of how the game works.
BETA. Tested on one PC (GOG, patch 5. 0. 0. 1041720, DX12, English). Expect rough edges, and please report them.

Menus
[]New top bar: centred, text-based tabs (Glossary, Alchemy, Inventory, World Map, Quests, Character, Meditation) with gold / level / weight readouts[/]
[]Inventory: armoury-style layout with round equipment slots, Geralt on the right and a preview card (rarity line, ledger rows) for every item type. Item rarity shown as a small lozenge or a tinted well (option)[/]
[]Equipment-first inventory (EXPERIMENTAL option): the equipment slots come first; each slot opens its own item list, everything else is in a Satchel. Move between slots with the d-pad or stick[/]
[]Loot window: 20 % larger, centred at the vanilla height, with an item card you can hide (option, or the Hide card key in the window)[/]
[]Shop: two ledgers (you and the merchant) with a centred item card[/]
[]Character: slim ledger layout that follows the real 5. 0 branching skill tree, round skill nodes[/]
[]Player Stats: every stat on one page in compact columns[/]
[]Quests: borderless journal with clean quest list, objectives and lore text[/]
[]Alchemy and crafting: restyled lists, recipe panels and item cards; craftable recipes marked "Ready to craft", missing ingredients in red[/]
[]Glossary: bestiary, books, encyclopedia and tutorials in the same style, with etched pictures for every bestiary and character entry (optional Glossary module) and about 40 entries that gently move (breathing, ear and hair motion)[/]
[]Main menu and pause menu: animated etched main-menu backgrounds in 4K (optional MainMenu module), and a pause menu with a soft left fade[/]
[]Settings: ledger rows with a section index on the right, also for key bindings and mod pages[/]
[]Load / Save: saves grouped by day on a timeline with a large preview and a "jump to day" index[/]
[]Meditation: redrawn clock with the Witcher medallion[/]
[]Controller prompts: ink-disc button icons with a thin iron rim and muted gold glyphs, keeping the vanilla shapes (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam Deck, Switch) in the menus, HUD and popups[/]
[]Book popup, tooltips and notice board restyled[/]
[]Dialogue choices: bare IM Fell text with a gold tick on the selected line (optional Dialogue module)[/]
[]Loading screens: painterly ink panoramas for every region with the region name, and a wolf-medallion loading icon (optional Loading module)[/]
[]Menus run at 60 fps (the world map stays at 24)[/]
[]Menu backgrounds: a dark ink wash instead of the vanilla gradient[/]
[]Background engravings: faded ink engravings behind the menus: an anatomical plate behind the Character screen, balance scales in the shop, a compass rose behind Quests, a wolf medallion behind Player Stats, potion bottles in Alchemy, an anvil in crafting and the blacksmith, a clockwork in Settings, and an open book and a stack of books in the Glossary. The Inventory has one per slot group (armour, swords, bolts, potions, horse)[/]
[]Blacksmith: Repair, Remove Upgrade and Dismantle tabs restyled to match crafting: a left-aligned item grid, a single ledger-style info column and a flat price row[/]
[]Gwent: charcoal-oak board with paper score tags and wax seals (optional Gwent module, card pictures stay vanilla)[/]
