📋 About This Mod
Combat HUD in the game's own style: floating damage numbers, enemy health plate with weakness, fight summary, XP above Geralt, perfect dodge and parry mechanics, a quest-tracker style effects panel and a loot panel with real item icons.
A combat HUD for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered (patch 5. 00) that keeps the game's own look: the same fonts, colours and shapes as the vanilla HUD. Script-only (annotations): it does not replace any game file and does not need Script Merger. Works on GOG and Steam.
Damage numbers and enemy health plate
-
[]Damage numbers rise above the enemy you hit. Critical hits are bigger and shake the plate, damage over time (burning, poison, bleeding) is grouped, and a combo total sits above the name.[/]
[]The enemy health plate shows the name, the level (coloured by difficulty), how many other enemies are nearby ("+2"), whether the right oil is applied, states such as burning or staggered, and the lost chunk of health falling off the bar.[/]
[]A WEAKNESS line lists what the bestiary recommends against that monster (signs, oils, bombs).[/]
[]Bosses get their own banner at the top of the screen.[/]
Perfect parry and perfect dodge
They are real mechanics, not just text:
-
[]Perfect parry (parry right before the hit lands, when Geralt counters): the attacker is staggered and your next sword strike within 2 seconds is a guaranteed critical hit.[/]
[]Perfect dodge (dodge just as the hit was about to land): the attacker moves in slow motion for 1. 5 seconds and Geralt gets +30% damage for 3 seconds, a guaranteed critical hit, +1 adrenaline and full stamina.[/]
[]Each one shows a golden title with a hit-and-echo animation. Every part can be turned off in the menu.[/]
Effects panel
Replaces the vanilla buff icons with a list in the style of the quest tracker: the real item you drank or ate (with its icon), the time left, what it does and a thin timer bar. The perfect dodge bonuses show up here too. Rows slide in, flash when renewed and blink in their last seconds. Good effects are amber, bad ones red.
Loot panel
Replaces the vanilla loot feed. It shows where the loot came from (the animal, chest or herb) and each item with its icon at real size, its quantity, its type and the game's quality colour (master, magic, relic, witcher set). A second wolf hide turns "x1" into "x2" instead of adding a new line, and crowns show your new total.
Fight summary, damage taken and XP
-
[]When a fight ends, a summary appears under the minimap: duration, damage dealt, biggest hit, critical hits, enemies killed, XP gained, perfect dodges and parries, and damage taken.[/]
[]Damage taken (red) and healing (green) appear next to Geralt's health bar, also outside combat.[/]
[]XP gained pops up above Geralt with a counter and sparks.[/]
Options menu
Settings > Mods > Floating Damage. Every part can be turned on or off; when you turn one off, the vanilla element comes back where there is one. The perfect dodge bonuses can be turned off one by one, and you can set how long the fight summary and the loot panel stay on screen.
Languages
English and Spanish. The mod follows the game's text language: Spanish (Spain and Latin America) shows Spanish, any other language shows English.
Installation
It takes about two minutes. The steps are the same for both stores; only the way to open the game folder changes.
