Watch Dogs Online Toggle

UPDATE : The functionality of this mod (with an additional option to set in game hotkeys for the buttons) is now included as part of Watch Dogs Invasion Notifier.

An application made with AutoHotkey that allows you to enable and disable online services on the fly for Watch_Dogs.

By blocking online services, you are now free to play the single player game and/or test out your latest mods without getting invaded by other players. Online notoriety is not reset by using this tool, as it would be if you were to disable online invasions within the game itself.

A secondary usage is the ability to quickly disconnect from any online session. No more getting "permahacked" and having to exit your game. No more having to suffer through "permajams," spider-tanks, and other exploits.

Installation

There are three options in order of preference. Choose whichever one works for you:

Option 1: Download and run the .exe file from anywhere. Run as admin when asked. Note that anti-virus scanners such as Windows Security will likely automatically quarantine the file with this false positive. You may have to manually "Restore" the file from within Windows Security or your anti-virus software.

Option 2: Download and run the .ahk script file from anywhere. Run as admin when asked. This option requires installation of AutoHotkey version 1. 1.

Option 3: If you do not want to download an EXE file or AHK file and only require the option to disconnect from an online session, then I recommend using this batch file instead.

Click "BLOCK" to disable online services. Click "UNBLOCK" to enable online services.

Click "QUICK DC" to temporarily disable online services for 6. 5 seconds and automatically tab back to your game. This will disconnect you from the current online session.

Requirements / How it Works

Your Windows OS must be accepting rules from Windows Firewall. Unless you installed a third party firewall, this should not be an issue.

This program functions by creating new Windows Firewall rules when ran. The rules are enabled and disabled when you press the buttons. The rules are then deleted when you exit the program.
