📋 About This Mod
Show/hide all overhead buffs and debuffs, except, optionally, wounds and injuries. Promote wounds/injuries to the top of the debuff stack.
Overhead Status Tamer
Overhead Status Tamer is a small Unity Mod Manager mod for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader that lets you clean up the buff and debuff icons shown above characters' heads.
Features
-
[]Toggle show/hide on all buffs and debuffs.[/]
[]Optionally keep Injury and Trauma debuffs visible when hiding other debuffs.[/]
[]Optionally keep Exploit debuffs visible when hiding other debuffs.[/]
[]Prioritize Injury and Trauma debuffs above other overhead statuses when they are visible.[/]
[]Promote Exploits to top, pinning them as the left-most overhead icons.[/]
This mod only changes the overhead status display. It does not remove, suppress, or alter gameplay buffs or debuffs.
This mod only got basic testing, so please report any issues!
Beta features (0. 0. 6 beta only)
These two features are only in the 0. 0. 6 beta file, and they have not been tested. The main download does not include them. Grab the beta only if you are happy to hit bugs and report them; otherwise stick with the main file.
-
[]Advanced Filtering: promote any status effects you like, chosen from a searchable list of every effect in the game that has an icon, in whatever order you want.[/]
[]Expiring effects: promote effects that are about to run out, ahead of everything else.[/]
Using the priority options
The two priority switches stack: with both on, Exploits take the left-most slots and Injury and Trauma follow.
Using Advanced Filtering (0. 0. 6 beta)
Pick Advanced Filtering as the priority mode and the two ordinary priority switches are replaced by a list of every status effect in the game that has an icon, around 4,700 of them.
-
[]The first time you open the mode it spends a moment building that list from the game's own data. This happens once; afterwards it loads instantly.[/]
[]Type in the filter box to narrow the list by name, then tick whatever you want promoted. Select all shown takes everything currently matching your filter; Deselect all clears your picks.[/]
[]Your picks appear in the ordered list underneath. The top entry is the left-most icon above a character's head. Reorder by dragging a row by its handle, or with the arrow buttons.[/]
[]Wounds, Traumas and Exploits are ticked for you the first time you open the mode. Change or clear them freely.[/]
Rebuild list forces a fresh scan of the game data. You should not normally need it, since the list rebuilds itself after a game update, but it is also how you refresh the names after changing the game's language.
Using Expiring effects (0. 0. 6 beta)
Turn on Prioritize effects with few turns remaining and set the turn count. Anything due to expire within that many turns jumps to the front, soonest first, ahead of every other promotion in either priority mode. Permanent effects are never treated as expiring. Off by default.
