📋 About This Mod

With the idea borrowed from the Vermintide mod of the same name by pixaal-vt, this mod will briefly show a custom crosshair on a confirmed kill by you of a special, elite or monstrous enemy.

You can choose which shape, colour, size and for how long you want the crosshair to pop up.

As it relies on the combat feed, this will only work in missions. This will not work in the Psykhanium

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Crosshair Confirmation is a compact UI mod for 7 Days to Die that displays a colored, sized, and shaped crosshair briefly when you confirm a kill on a special, elite, or monster enemy. It provides visual feedback for successful takedowns, enhancing combat awareness. With 103 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche but functional addition for players seeking clearer kill confirmation.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 103 endorsements and nearly 7k downloads—people are using it.
  • Gives you instant visual confirmation when you drop a special or elite, which is clutch in the heat of battle.
  • Tiny UI tweak that doesn't mess with your game balance—just adds a little flair to your kill feed.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only triggers on special/elite/monster kills, so you won't see it for regular zombies—might feel limited if you want feedback on every kill.
  • Since it's a UI mod, it could conflict with other crosshair or HUD overhauls that modify the same elements.
  • No info on customization options—you're stuck with whatever colors/shapes the mod author chose.
🎯 Is This For You?
For 7 Days to Die players who want a clear visual cue when they take down a special or elite zombie, especially in chaotic fights. If you're a completionist or streamer who likes to highlight big kills, this is a neat little addition. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes—this is purely cosmetic feedback.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's a UI mod, make sure your EAC is off if you're using mods in 7 Days to Die—otherwise it won't load.
  • If you're using a mod manager like 7D2D Mod Launcher, just drop the mod folder into your Mods directory and it'll pick it up.
  • Test it on a special zombie (like a feral or irradiated) to see the crosshair pop—regular zombies won't trigger it.
