TF-15A 'Ferris' Scheme 1

In the mid to late 1970s the US conducted a series of trials to a) test new missile designs against the AIM-9 Sidewinder, and b) to determine the importance of multiple factors in air combat (aircraft performance, missile performance, numerical advantages, etc.). These trials were known as AIMVAL and ACEVAL respectively and were hosted at the famous Luke AFB. As a part of these trials three F-15s were painted in the 'Ferris' Camoflauge pattern. F-15A S/N 74-0110 and T-15A S/N 73-0111 were painted with a Medium Gunship Gray top coat and minimal warning decals, only the 2 seater T-15A featured a false cockpit on the underside. The false cockpit was included in this livery because it was simply too cool to leave out. With this livery now you too can experience a part of Eagle history.
