VEIN Waypoints

Save up to five spots anywhere on the map, then teleport back to any of them with one key. Mark your base, a good loot town, the river crossing, and stop walking the same road twenty times.

5 waypoint slots - save your current spot into any slot and jump back to it whenever you like.

Automatic "Back" slot - every teleport first remembers where you were standing, so a bad jump is one keypress to undo.

Safe landings - VEIN loads the world in as you move. After a long jump the mod holds you in place for 3 seconds while the ground loads, so you don't fall through the map.

On-screen popups - uses the game's own notifications to confirm every save, teleport and slot change.

Saved between sessions - waypoints are written to a small text file per map and are still there next time you play.

Shift+F9 - Save where you're standing into the selected waypoint

F9 - Teleport to the selected waypoint

End / Home - Select the next / previous waypoint (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Back)

None of these keys are used by VEIN itself. They were checked against the game's full list of key bindings.

Installation

In Steam, right-click VEIN > Manage > Browse local files. You'll see Vein.exe and a Vein folder.

Extract the zip into that folder so its Vein folder merges with the game's. dwmapi.dll should end up in Vein\Binaries\Win64\.

Linux / Steam Deck only: set the Steam launch options to:

Launch VEIN and load your save.

Already running UE4SS? Grab the Mods Only optional file instead. The mod ships with an enabled.txt, so you don't need to edit mods.txt.

Using the VEIN QoL Mod Pack too? Install both, in either order, and overwrite when asked. They share the same UE4SS and every mod loads through its own enabled.txt.

Delete Vein\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\VEIN_Waypoints (this also deletes your saved waypoints). To remove UE4SS entirely, delete dwmapi.dll and the ue4ss folder from Vein\Binaries\Win64\.

Single-player, or when you host. On someone else's server, the server moves you back.

Get out of vehicles first. Teleporting from inside one is blocked.

Waypoints are per map and shared between all your save files on that map.

After a VEIN update, UE4SS may need updating. If the game crashes at launch, delete dwmapi.dll to play unmodded until there's a newer UE4SS build.

[]Antivirus: Windows Defender occasionally flags UE4SS's dwmapi.dll. That's a known false positive, since UE4SS loads itself into the game. You can get the same file from the official UE4SS releases.[/]

Troubleshooting

Check Vein\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\UE4SS.log. It should contain:

v1. 0. 0 loaded (F9 teleport, Shift+F9 save, End/Home pick slot)

If the log file doesn't exist, UE4SS didn't load. On Linux, check the launch option above.
