UE4SS Prepackaged for VEIN

This is a prepackaged version of UE4SS (UE4SS-RE/RE-UE4SS) that is set up for running it with VEIN specifically.

Version: UE4SS v3. 0. 1-599-g1a6cdbc with optional setup for VEIN.

Mods for VEIN must be run with the experimental version of UE4SS and it can be quite difficult for those that aren't familiar with github, or the like, so I packaged it and removed unnecessary files so it's lightweight.

For Modders:

Please go to the github and install the dev version of the experimental ue4ss so that you can see the logs and ensure your mods are working smoothly before releasing them into the wild.

Install Instructions:

1. Go to your Steam Library, find "VEIN", right click, click "Manage">"Browse Local Files".

- From here on out, this will be called your <GAME_ROOT> folder.

(example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Vein")

2. Navigate to the following folder:

- <GAME_ROOT>\Vein\Binaries\Win64\

3. Extract the zipped folder "UE4SS-VEIN" into the Win64 folder.

- If you've done everything correctly, the Win64 folder should now contain the following:

D3D12 | File Folder

DML      |    File Folder

ue4ss | File Folder

dwmapi.dll     | Application extension

tbb.dll     | Application extension

tbb.pdb     | PDB file

tbbmalloc.dll | Application extension

tbbmalloc.pdb  | PDB file

Vein-Win64-Test   | Application

Vein-Win64-Test.pdb  | PDB file

4. Verify that both the ue4ss folder and the dwmapi.dll are both in the same folder as "Vein-Win64-Test.exe"

5. Open the game once and close it in order for UE4SS to add itself to your install.

6. You should now have a new folder called "LogicMods" in the following location:

- "<GAME_ROOT>\Vein\Content\Paks"

7. This folder will be the location where you will install /some/ mods for VEIN that require UE4SS.

- Please check the instructions on the individual mod pages to make sure you install mods in the correct location.

Uninstall Instructions:

1. Navigate to the following folder:

- <GAME_ROOT>\Vein\Binaries\Win64\

2. Delete the file "dwmapi.dll" and the "ue4ss" folder.
