📋 About This Mod

Completely removes storage limits from most storage containers.

ATTENTION: This mod is not yet updated for update 0. 022h14

ALL current files can cause crashes. I will be working on updating the mod as soon as I can but it might take awhile.

UPDATE (Dec 12): I am currently weighing my options between updating this normally (which I've had some difficulty with) or exploring the possibility of a different method of achieving this mod's goal.  In the meantime, if you want an alternative to this mod I recommend checking out Mathayuss' Custom Container Weights (allows you to customize the storage limit of any container via a config file; requires UE4SS).

Are you a hoarder?  Tired of filling your safehouse with dozens of containers to try and manage all your loot?  Maybe you're just spoiled by years of Bethesda games (not you, 76) and their infinite container storage.  Well, good news!  This mod outright removes the storage limits from most storage containers in the game!  Cabinets, Boxes, Crates, Lockers, Wardrobes, Suitcases, Barrels, Refrigerators, Cooking Stations, Workbenches, Vehicles and more!

If you know of a container type that you think should be included in this mod but isn't, let me know about it in the comments. Include the name of the container, where specifically it can be found and, preferably, a picture.

Warnings and Disclaimers

This mod has not been thoroughly tested so use it at your own risk. I haven't fully explored the map, so many of the containers I have changed are ones I have never even seen.  If you encounter any bugs or problems, please report them.

I have not tested this mod in multiplayer at all.  I have no intention to play multiplayer in the near future, so know that there may be little I can do to help you if you run into problems.  If you do use the mod in multiplayer, please let me know how it worked out in the comments.

This mod was made for my personal use.  Game updates may break the mod and I cannot promise that I will maintain it.  As such, even if it is working perfectly right now, you should be aware that using this mod has the chance of causing problems for you in future game updates.

File Options

There are currently five files available for download:

  • []Containers - This file covers most basic containers found out in the world, such as: crates, lockers, boxes, cabinets, wardrobes and even trash piles

[]Appliances - This file covers containers the game categorizes as "Appliances" which usually have some special functionality.  This currently includes refrigerators/freezers, cabinets with sinks, laundry machines, cooking stations and a couple other things.  Workbenches are covered by the BuildObjects file, but they are included here as well.

[]BuildObjects - This file covers player constructed containers and appliances.

[]Fluids - This file covers fluid containers such as the generic blue Fluid Barrels and the rusty metal ones for fuel and motor oil.  I have not managed to give these truly unlimited storage, so you will have to settle for more storage than you could conceivably use through normal gameplay.

  • Vehicles - This covers most road vehicles in the game.  However, it does not apply to glove box inventories (except the motorcycle.  If I can find the file that defines glove box inventories, I will update this file to cover those as well.

You can use any combination of these files.

Installation

If you are uncertain of what you are doing, you may want to consider using a mod manager such as Vein Mod Manager.

For manual installation: extract the archive(s), go to the game directory and place the .pak file(s) in "...\Vein\Vein\Content\Paks".  If you don't know how to find your game directory: open your Steam Library, right-click Vein and go to "Manage" > "Browse Local Files"

To uninstall the mod, simply delete the .pak file(s) you installed.  Make sure you DO NOT delete any of the other files in that folder.  If you accidentally delete the wrong files: open your Steam Library, right-click Vein and click "Properties", go to the "Installed Files" tab and click the "Verify Integrity of Game Files" button.

Support

If you encounter any bugs, please report them in the bugs tab.  If you have suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments.
