Distant Zombie Spawning

WHAT IT DOES

Moves normal zombie spawning farther from the player to reduce visible pop-in for more immersive spawning.

Current build values changed:

Despawn distance:                10000 (100m) -> 13000 (130m)

Maximum spawn distance:     8000 (80m) -> 11000 (110m)

General minimum distance:    4000 (40m) ->  8000 (80m)

Minimum while looking:           6000 (60m) ->  9000 (90m)

Minimum in other directions:   3500 (35m) ->  7000 (70m)

It does not change saves, zombie density, spawn caps, senses, loot. This mod makes both short and long-range observation relevant by moving new spawns farther away. Nearby danger is then created more naturally as existing zombies move toward the player, rather than through visibly close spawning.

INSTALL

1. Close VEIN.

3. Copy DistantZombieSpawning_P.pak to:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Vein\Vein\Content\Paks

4. Launch VEIN

UNINSTALL

Close VEIN and delete DistantZombieSpawning_P.pak

OPTIONAL IN-GAME ADMIN SETTINGS

These settings are optional. The PAK works without them.

Recommended starting values:

• []Zombie spawn-cap multiplier: 2. 0[/]

  []Zombie sight: 2. 0[/]

  []Zombie hearing: 1. 5[/]

  The spawn-cap multiplier restores density across the larger spawn area.

  Sight and hearing make zombies more responsive at distance.

  COMPATIBILITY

  - Conflicts with any mod replacing ASC_ChamplainValley.

  - A VEIN update may require a new version.

  - Multiplayer and dedicated servers are untested.

  - If VEIN crashes after an update, remove the PAK.

  CREDIT

  Inspired by “I Just Cleared That - Zombie Spawn Fix” by LxSunshine. This version follows the same distance philosophy, but leaves density and awareness for in-game settings.

  Independently rebuilt from the current VEIN asset.
