VTMB - Protean Improved

Description

VTMB Protean Mod Pack is a configurable collection of Protean-related improvements for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines with Unofficial Patch 11. 5 Plus.

The included installer lets you choose each feature separately, create a persistent backup, modify your selection later, or restore all managed files to their original state.

Installation instructions

• []Install Unofficial Patch 11. 5 Plus.[/]

  []Extract the complete mod archive to a writable folder. Do not run it from inside the archive.[/]

  []Close Bloodlines.[/]

  Installer.exe.[/]

  []Select the game folder containing

  Vampire.exe.[/]

  []Choose the desired components.[/]

  []Keep Create persistent backup enabled.[/]

  []Click Install and wait for

  Installation Complete.[/]

  []Start the game through the Unofficial Patch shortcut.[/]

After installation, run

Installer.exeagain to use Install / Modify or Restore persistent backup.

Keep the Installer folder and its automatically created

Backupfolder if you may want to restore the original files later. The backup is created only once and is never overwritten.

Main features

• []Warform Frenzy

  Allows Frenzy to begin while Protean 5 Warform is fully active. The transformation animation remains protected, and normal Frenzy and Protean rules are preserved.[/]

  []Frenzy in Library

  Enables Frenzy in the Public Library.[/]

  []Frenzy in Griffith Park (buggy)

  Enables Frenzy during the Werewolf encounter. This option is disabled by default because the player usually moves underneath the Werewolf during Frenzy.[/]

  []Protean Filter Load Fix

  Prevents the Protean visual filter from becoming much darker after loading a save while Protean is active.[/]

  []Protean Claws Hit Fix

  Makes the second attack of both sideways Claws combos connect more reliably after the first attack’s natural stagger and knockback. It can still miss on a heavy knockback.[/]

  []No Auto Attack on Protean Activation

  Removes the forced attack when Protean 2–5 equips Claws. Claws still equip automatically, and manual attacks work normally.[/]

  []Fists Block / Tire Iron Block

  Replaces the Protean Claws blocking animations with either Fists or Tire Iron animations. These options are mutually exclusive.[/]

The installer validates all supported files before making changes, handles read-only game files, and uses transactional rollback if an operation fails or is interrupted.

The Library is Plus-only content. The UP version of the Griffith Park encounter is also required because it allows normal attacks to affect the Werewolf.

Mods that replace the same

vampire.dll,

client.dll, maps, configuration alias, or animation models may require an explicit merge.
