02/17/2026:

Ta-da! First person hands have been added! Now you can shoot and pick locks without transforming into a different person! Along with this comes a slew of improvements to materials and meshes, as well as glowing eyes (and glowsticks) for the final outfit! This update also replaces the standalone variations of the mod which previously provided options for different expressions with expression packs which only contain textures. This made it easier to work on updating the main mod and cuts down on file size and stuff. Mads' default expression has been changed to the closed smile, with the old flat expression being available as an optional expression pack.

12/09/2025:

An alternate version of Mads with the smile from the mod banner image was requested, so this is now available as "Mads - Open Smile." In addition to this, I've made a version with a closed-mouth smile that's a little more happy than the default flat expression, now available as "Mads - Closed Smile." Originally, I opted against these because there is no way to add facial animation to the player characters, so with the wide variety of events that take place in the game, I decided a flat expression would be the least weird - buuut she is a Malkavian after all, she can smile at things that don't make sense. All versions of the mod are essentially identical, just with different face textures, so you only need to download one. Nothing bad will happen if you install one on top of the others, but whichever version was installed last will be the one that you see.

How to Install:

1. Install the Unofficial Patch

2. Unzip the contents of this mod directly into the main folder of the game. (On steam this is the "Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines" folder, not the "Vampire" subfolder)

3. Allow the mod files to replace all existing files (Backups of the originals will be put in place automatically)

How to Uninstall:

1. Navigate to the "Unofficial_Patch" Subfolder, then go to models>character>pc>female

a. Delete the "malkavian" folder

2. Go back to the "Unofficial_Patch" Subfolder, then go to models>hands>female

a. Delete the "malkavian" folder

b. rename the ".malkavian-backup" folder to "malkavian"

3. Go back to the "Unofficial_Patch" Subfolder, then go to models>weapons>thaumaturgy

a. Delete the "view_female_malkavian" folder

b. rename the ".view_female_malkavian-backup" folder to "view_female_malkavian"

4. Navigate to the "Vampire" subfolder

a. if this is the only mod you have installed except for the Unofficial patch, delete the "materials" folder, then you're done.

b. If you have other mods installed, continue

5. go to materials>models>character>pc>female

a. Delete the "mads" folder

6. Navigate to the "Vampire" subfolder, then go to materials>hud>inventory_images>armors

a. Delete the "malkavianf" folder
