📋 About This Mod
My mod tries to update and somewhat beautify some important in-game Actors (NPCs) and all potential companions you might have there if you're user of Dheu's indispensable VTMB Companion mod! If so there are some new options - of which
---README---
for DALL's - Vampire (VTMB)
Dall's Vampire is extensive re-make of many in game actors / NPCs. If you are wondering who has received this re-make treatment it's probably best to think of Dheu's indispensable VTMB Companion mod and all companions you can ensnare with it in the game. They are all there as well as many others which were added as convenient body - swamp alternatives. These others are practical extension of my original body models - swamp idea. With this mod in place your VTMB companions will be able to shape-shift and change into various (same sex) in - game characters. As these changes are of visual nature only - basic choice of your travelling companion/s is still very important. Simply put - if you want to have in your tow strong and capable slaves / companions - go for vampires and ghouls and if you prefer them to be weak - go for normal humans. If interested in their personal stats - Dheu's mod Spoilers text can provide you with all details and info you need to know. Option to chose and change how they (your slaves) physically look - doesn't affect only them - it can give your character new ability (for this you'll need to use VTMB companions Posses spell) to play game looking as body-twin of some interesting but otherwise inaccessible in-game character.
Supplied pictures of three female and one male companion (wearing their alternate bodies) will give you idea how this works in the practice just as well as how some retextured armours / clothes look.
Outfits for original two (in game) companions (Heather and Yukie) were re-textured in normal and embraced variant - while their embraced by Nosferatu PC models were exchanged for my (retextured) version of Imalia (she is supposed to be - prettiest and hottest Nosferatu female). Regardless of your likes or dislikes there - don't you worry as they both have quite a few different (alternative bodies) looks for you to choose from.
My reasons for making of this very late update are quite simple VTMB by today's standards looks a bit outdated and visually tired but being what it is a very charming and well thought out game with interesting story it still poses more then considerable appeal to be enjoyed and played again. For me there might be a pinch of memory lane as well but nevertheless update of old/inferior visuals never hurts. VTMB is not easiest game to mod as its insides are a real mess of different concepts, artists/artwork and incompatible NPC models. You can find there some brilliant stuff alongside rushed out dross so making some sense out of that lot is and never will be easy task to do. That is probably main reason for so very few mods for it.
Beside your potential companions this mod tries as well to rectify some other visual issues VTMB has. Before you get cold feet and run away know that it deals only with (some) original not-so-pretty game NPCs. Not many other mods do that - so potential for in between mods clashes is extremely small. Some of the best female game models were used instead of inferior ones and all textures for them were re-made / tweaked anew. You'll find there new actors - (fem) dancers, citizens, ravers, blood-dolls etc. Re-textured (M/F) Toreador armours and start one for Ventura females are included as extra bonus as well.
My (Vampire folder) files are supplied in loose form so they can be used as whole mod package or as pick n mix modding resources. If you decide not to use all models supplied you will loose some of new textures and some of my "new" game glitz but that choice is your own. In this form they (supplied files) are intended for installation in original (patched or un-patched) game Vampire folder but they should work fine in (duplicated) folders of Unofficial_Patch as well. One way or another install my mod files last so they don't get overwritten by some other mod.
Can Dheu's VTMB Companion mod be made to work in Unofficial_Patch folder as well? That I don't know for a fact but being scripted and in the need of specific game folders - the most likely it can't. As far as I know to make that happen you'll need to forfeit latest versions of Unofficial_Patches (installed in separate folder) and find instead some older version of same. With them you'll loose some of latter refinements - latest patches have - but in return you'll gain ability to use and enjoy one of the best VTMB mods.
To install you need to unpack Dalls_Vampire. 7zip file in some new folder and not in your game one directly! As VTMB was never intended to be modded in real sense it can deal only with one set of same (override) files. My mod files as any other mod files are physical override of game (compressed VPK) files. They are not necessity but if in right format and place they will be used instead original ones. Still you should remember that override of override
