Bloodlines German Dubbing

This mod extends the German version of the game's Unofficial Patch to also provide German voice acting. Using AI, the original voice actor's have been given a close approximation, and the translations comes from the aforementioned German version of the Unofficial Patch. This allows for an almost complete German experience playing the game!

Right now this is limited to the dialog seen in the face-to-face conversations, therefore, things like ambient chatter and certain cut scenes haven't been translated yet - the major exception being the lines from Grout's recordings, which are pretty critical to understanding the character.

As mentioned, this is an extension of the Unofficial German Patch, therefore please first download and install that mod before installing THIS mod. You can get it from many websites and mirrors online. The latest version of the German patch (to my knowledge), correlates with the normal Unofficial Patch's version 10. 1, and that is the version of the German UP that needs to be installed in conjunction with this mod.

I also understand there's some ethical gray area around AI, so please understand I mostly did this just as my own German language study aid and wanted to share it with everyone. I am open to solicitations to add real voice actors at some point.

It's also already known to me that some of the dialog delivery, because it's automated through an AI, is weird or doesn't land correctly. As a non-native speaker, it's difficult for me to recognize every case, but feel free to point out cases of particularly hard-hitting or poignant dialog, where it's egregiously wrong.

Also, if you're interested in how all of this done, or maybe want to try to do the same for a different language, you can look at the source code on Github.

Big Thanks to the following:

Thanks for Elevenlabs for the AI services that provide the dubbing

Big Thanks to Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität for the BASE Web Services which make the lip syncing possible

Phentooh for his Brazilian Portuguese translation of Clan Quest Mod, which inspired this project.

If you'd like to support my work, for either this mod, or Clan Quest Mod, or help cover the costs of the monthly voice generation subscription, you can buy me a coffee!
