StagBreaker detects MudPiles

Detect buried muddy scrap pile iron with a StagBreaker yellow 9999 damage ground slam message (similar to silver TOO HARD). Created for no bosses open world survival runs, also useful if you want to get iron tech before doing the Elder.

Installation 

This solution depends on BepInEx which must be installed first. Unzip the download file and copy SKKStagBreakerDetectsMudPiles. DLL to the BepInEx/Plugins folder.

Configuration

A config file BepInEx/config/SKK. StagBreakerDetectsMudPiles.cfg is created after running the game once with this mod.

Enabled = [ true | false ]

DebugOutput = [ true | false ]

Use

Prospect slope walls of the swamp biome above the water table by smacking the ground around the base of ancient trees with your Stagbreaker. Dig where the YELLOW 9999 damage messages pop.

Originally this solution used the base game TOO HARD message, but the Hearth & Home game update now generates those  TOO HARD messages for ancient trees in the ground slam area of effect which caused a lot of pointless digging or chopping.

Technical 

This is a client-side mod, should have no impact on shared servers. It  does not mess with any base game ore:pick tool levels, you can still mine mudpiles with the antler pick, bronze pick (or even spawn PickaxeStone). It simply triggers a yellow 999 damage message if mudpiles are in the Stagbreaker area effect.

Avoiding the boss "story" line but unlocking the tech tree whilst keeping to base game principles:

(1) Use troll labour to get going on copper/tin for bronze (no antler pick).

(2) StagBreaker detects MudPiles TOO HARD slam message prospects for iron (no swamp key).

(3) Farm swamp Wraiths at night for chain.

(4) Use StagBreaker base game TOO HARD slam message to propsect for silver (no wishbone).

(5) Craftable DragonTears unlocks the Artisan table (no dragon required).
