📋 About This Mod
If you experience FPS issues
If you notice FPS drops, your GPU might handle more. Try adding these launch options:
-gfx-enable-gfx-jobs -gfx-enable-native-gfx-jobs
in Valheim's launch options on Steam.
This unlocks more GPU power for the game, which might help. It is more convenient than editing the boot.config file and is safe to try.
If you use the RenderLimits mod and have the "Distance area" setting higher than 10, it may cause noticeable FPS loss in areas with many trees. This cannot be further optimized with modding tools alone.
What can be customized per season

Configuring the mod
The mod uses general settings through BepInEx configuration.
Custom settings
Custom seasonal settings are defined using JSON files.
The mod creates a shudnal. Seasons directory inside the BepInEx config folder. This is where default and custom settings are stored.
Default settings
On each world load, the mod generates a Default settings folder containing files with default values.
BepInEx\config\shudnal. Seasons\Default settings
You need to launch the world at least once after installing the mod to generate these default files.
Important: Do not edit files inside the Default settings folder directly. Any changes will be overwritten the next time you load a world or update the mod.How to create custom settings:

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community trust with 156 endorsements and over 8k downloads.
- Adds real gameplay variety, not just visuals—raids and trader items change per season.
- Performance-friendly: claims minimal FPS impact, which is huge for a mod that changes weather and lighting.
⚠️ Cons
- Customization options aren't detailed—you'll have to dig into config files yourself.
- Last updated July 2026—if you're on an older game version, check compatibility before installing.
For Valheim players who want to break the monotony of eternal meadows and feel the world change around them. If you're into survival realism and love when mods tweak gameplay along with visuals, this is your jam. Skip if you prefer pure cosmetic mods with zero gameplay impact.
