📋 About This Mod
Description
The Problem It Solves
In a massive player compound, there are often thousands of network-tracked objects—like item chest inventories, wall signs, torches, fires, and hidden storage containers—loaded inside your active zone area. Natively, these objects constantly generate thousands of temporary data variables, string lookups, and positional coordinate updates inside your computer's RAM every single second.
When this hidden data pile gets too large, Valheim's engine panics. It aggressively forces a full memory cleanup loop on the main CPU thread, completely freezing your screen for 10 to 30 milliseconds all at once to sweep the trash out of your RAM. This single-threaded processor choke is the exact cause of those rhythmic, frustrating micro-stutters and frame-pacing drops you feel while walking around a massive base.
What It Does & How It Helps
This mod completely eliminates those violent single-frame freezes by converting your system's hardware RAM into an advanced performance shock absorber. Instead of wasting valuable CPU cycles running heavy visual line-of-sight camera math, it acts as an intelligent memory traffic governor to smooth out your frame rate with absolute zero visual bugs or object pop-in.
It operates via a highly optimized, dual-layer memory pipeline:
-
[]The Incremental GC Shock Absorber: The exact microsecond Valheim boots up, the mod forces Unity's core memory manager to lock into Incremental Garbage Collection mode. This permanently blocks the engine from halting your game for a massive single-frame memory dump. Instead, it forcefully breaks large RAM-cleaning tasks into microscopic, weightless 1-millisecond slices spread across multiple frames, completely flattening base stutter spikes.[/]
[]The Action-State Interceptor (The Busy Filter): To ensure your CPU never wastes processing power cleaning RAM during critical gameplay moments, the mod implements a background evaluation valve. Every 2 seconds, it checks your character's real-time velocity, combat, and dodging animation states. If you are sprinting, fighting, dodging, or encumbered, the mod forcefully locks the garbage collector out, allowing your RAM to safely cushion the incoming data data spike without dragging down your FPS.[/]
[]The Dead-Air Flush System: The exact second you stand completely still to rest, manage your storage chests, craft at a forge, or look at a static UI menu, the mod detects the "dead air space." It instantly triggers a high-speed, low-priority memory flush to wipe temporary tracking trash out of your RAM safely while your character is relaxing.[/]
