More Dynamic Combat - Controller Equipment and HUD

Description

More Dynamic Combat brings responsive controller combat, dedicated equipment slots, and a compact combat HUD to Valheim.

Cancel an attack by dodging or blocking, lock onto enemies, and switch between weapon sets without searching through your hotbar. Separate armor, weapon, and mead slots keep your equipment organized while leaving the original hotbar available for tools and other items.

The interface uses German when Valheim is set to German and English for all other language settings.

Update 0. 1. 18 — Tool switching and controller hints

Tool return: Tap D-pad up to equip your selected hotbar tool. Tap again to put it away and restore the previously equipped weapon set. If your hands were empty before, they stay empty.

Quick equipment toggle: Double-tap D-pad up to put your equipment away. Double-tap with empty hands to equip the weapon set selected in the HUD.

Food and consumables work as before. Hold-to-zoom remains unchanged.

Controller help: Updated Settings/Pause controller diagrams and in-game hints. Additional lower-right help follows the inventory’s HUD hints toggle. New hints use German or English, depending on your language setting.

• []Added translucent weapon-durability fill inside the weapon diamond, turning red at 10% or less.[/]

  []Shifted the combat HUD and food display slightly right and centered the Forsaken Power icon between the diamonds.[/]

  []Enabled weapon-set switching while holding a build tool.[/]

  []Added a safeguard against competing mouse/controller highlights in the build menu.[/]

  []Possible Legendary Weapons compatibility fix: Prevents Jötunn’s input processing from overriding the mod’s reserved controls. Confirmation with both mods active is still needed.[/]

  Installation instructions

  • []Install BepInEx 5.[/]

    []Close Valheim.[/]

    []Extract the downloaded ZIP.[/]

    []Copy the included BepInEx folder into your Valheim installation folder, next to valheim.exe.[/]

    []Merge folders when prompted. When updating, replace the existing MoreDynamicCombat.dll.[/]

    []Start Valheim normally.[/]

  The installed file should be located at:
