The toggle hotkey toggles all iHUD functionality.

Shows when swapping equipped items.
Can be changed to hide always (HotkeyBarModeSetting in config):

Hidden unless looking at an interactable or using a ranged weapon

GIF is sped up
Hidden when full
GIF is sped up
Hidden until it reaches "critical" duration (60s left) or if a food has ran out recently (within the last 60s).
Can be set to show at specific durations (FoodPopupIntervalsEnabled, disabled by default)

Powers
Hidden unless swapped to a different power or 'Activate Powers' hotkey pressed

Toggled on/off with the hotkey (default B)

Status effects which are infinite are shown when gained and hidden after a period of time (5s by default).
Status effects which have a duration (such as poisoned, burning, rested and mead buffs) are shown when gained OR if their duration left is less than 1min.
Effects longer than 1min are briefly shown at 5, 10, 15 and 20min left
