Controller Forge

IMPORTANT — Controller Setup

For Controller Forge to work correctly, keep Steam Input ON and use the default Valheim controller layout.

No custom Steam Input mappings are needed. If you used an earlier test version with custom F8 or Ctrl mappings, reset your controller layout to the default Valheim layout before playing.

Controller Forge rebuilds key parts of Valheim’s interface around controller play while keeping the game itself feeling like Valheim.

Open dedicated radial wheels for weapons and food, cycle arrows and building tools without digging through menus, quickly return to your bow or last-used weapon during combat, and manage your items through separate Gear and Supplies inventories designed for a gamepad.

Controller Forge works without Extra Slots, but using them together is recommended. Extra Slots is a separate mod and is not included in this download.

Installation

  []Extract the Controller Forge ZIP into your main Valheim game folder, merging the included

  BepInEx[/]

  []Enable Steam Input and select the default Valheim controller layout.[/]

  []Start Valheim.[/]
