Bow Tuner

Valheim 1. 0 compatible - built and tested on 1. 0.

Vanilla bow aim is slightly left of the target but is hidden by the RNG cone spread. This gives true aim and full accuracy.

This mod fixes both. Arrows fly exactly where the reticle points.

Gravity still applies - range and drop off is still a skill.

THE KNOBS (all config, all with vanilla settings - the mod is the

sliders, you decide the balance):

- accuracyCone (default 0): spread multiplier.

-- 0 = no RNG

-- 1 = vanilla

- trueAim (default on): converges every arrow on the exact surface

point under your reticle. No more compensating a nudge left.

A sanity ceiling (maxCorrectionDegrees) means it can only ever

improve a shot or leave it vanilla - never worsen one.

- drawTime (default 0. 5): time to full draw. 1 = vanilla.

- stamina (default 0. 5): per-shot cost AND hold-drain. 1 = vanilla.

- drawMoveSpeed (default -1/vanilla): experimental run-and-gun.

Bow skill still matters - it governs damage, so leveling stays rewarding. Applies to every bow in the game automatically, current and future. Partial draws are accurate too - snap shots at reduced damage become a real playstyle instead of a coin flip.

CONFIG (BepInEx\config\ChamberLand.bow_tuner.cfg) - live-adjustable

with ConfigurationManager (F1): drag the sliders mid-hunt.

MULTIPLAYER

Single player / hosting player only, by design.

TESTED WITH

Steam / Windows 10 / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (16 GB)

0. 3. 2 - NEW: trueAim - arrows converge exactly on the reticle.

Fixes vanilla's systematic offset (hand-spawn vs camera-ray

parallax; with the cone at 0, impacts rode the reticle's

left edge). Includes a sanity ceiling so corrections can

only improve shots. NOTE: the mod now uses Harmony (ships

with BepInExPack - no extra install for users).

INSTALLATION (manual)

Requires BepInExPack Valheim - install that first if you don't

have it. In Steam: Library > Valheim > (cog icon) > Browse local

files, then place the .dll in

steamapps\common\Valheim\BepInEx\plugins

Delete the dll and restart.

Bows revert to vanilla
