As the first major warship, aside from the Wolf-Rayet-class destroyer, to roll rapidly out of the shipyards of the young Olympus Military Complex, this vessel is fully capable of fulfilling every traditional role of an aircraft carrier while embodying the young archipelago nation’s philosophy of ruthless pragmatism in a resource-starved era. In the immediate aftermath of independence, when true carriers remained years away due to industrial and material constraints, this design deliberately sacrifices enclosed hangars in favor of an exceptionally large, stable flight deck measuring 220 m by 80 m. The flat, rectangular configuration allows parking of approximately 44 aircraft or several XL cargo containers, while dramatically accelerating series production and slashing both cost and industrial effort to a fraction of those required for conventional carriers. It serves as an effective interim solution until engineers can develop a new generation of true conventional or significantly more advanced aircraft carriers. Given the nation’s severely limited resources, the absence of hangars is not a compromise but a calculated choice : it frees vast internal volume for fuel and ammunition storage, while retaining two dedicated repair & maintenance bays. The remarkably low displacement for a platform of this size keeps hydrodynamic drag and fuel consumption surprisingly close to that of smaller escorts, despite the broad bow.
