The Great Mutiny

"Ones and Zeros" - 4 min original song After centuries of war, Chirpokind was finally defeating the Pirates and MEMENTO Club could worrilessly launch the Vertex 2 expedition. They took off, escorted by their best squadrons. But some stayed to work the factories on Chirplanet, the robotized veterans among them. With a mix of PTSD and cyberschizophrenia, they were unfit to go. But they didn't wish to go anyway. With human innibitions off, they wished only to seek their urge. Aye, MUTINY! They had the chance now that everyone was gone! Quickly seizing the production of Diplocaulus II bombers, they killed loyalists, took the factories and stole the Ancient Chirpo Weapon again. Aye, finally, the glory of Metalburg would be restored! But survivors improvised a plan. Flying old planes from the Museum, the martyrs distracted the bombers enough for a cunning chirpo named Bennu to overload EMPs in the main factory, causing a mass discharge that fried the mutineers. The few that were left fled to the old Metalburguese Asteroid in Chirplanet's orbit and used the bombers to tug the big rock away, swearing vengeance against Chirpokind. They would reclaim that Ancient Weapon one day... Even if they had to come back in time to do it! - Brought to you by the MEMENTO Club.
