Douglas X-3 Stiletto The X-3 was an experimental aircraft in the early 1950s. They wanted to investigate some design features of an aircraft suitable for sustained supersonic speeds. Small wings and a very long nose and fuselage were the result. Lockheed designers used data from the X-3 tests for the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter later. This Nabi_1978 creation can reach supersonic speeds at level flight. Top speed is higher than 1300 kph. Controls are optimized for high speeds. Fastest speed with nose down was 1905kph (1184mph) so far. You can rise up the nose and landing assistance will give you some flaps and gear before touchdown.
