I received the math tism and I feel the need to go into detail about this fix. This is my first mod I've posted ever, so it's truly a momentous day. Why, I'm so proud that my cat MARVIN can be here to witness this. Anyway, If you "ain't readin' all that", Please at least read the "Caveats" section.

This mod is a .pack file, install it the way you do. To quote Mr. Howard,

It just works.

This addresses a problem that affects all players, be them online, offline, etc.

Alex Zhao is the mod author who made a simple fix and put it on workshop. Crediting the artist, you know? I don't have any money or anything, but uh... "Think of the exposure!" and all that.

Alex's mod is outdated and no longer works on patch 7. 2. 0. 0+. They do not seem to maintain it, as they haven't updated it since December 6th, 2025. They also titled the mod "Trials of Fire" Unlocker, instead of "Trials of Fate". Not ripping on them, just if you want to find it, that's how.

I cannibalized their mod, realized why it doesn't work, and made this from scratch so that it works on further patches.

WHAT IT IS:

This mod fixes the trials to give you gear that it refuses to award you, even if you're offline,

  []Maybe you're in airplane mode on your laptop.[/]

  []Maybe you have horrible internet because your parents think they are stuck with Spectrum (formerly Charter, respectively) and you guys live in the middle of nowhere (the worst part of nowhere) and said ISP has a monopoly over your area and "Well, that's just all that's out here," and refuses to get something more modern, compatible, and cheaper for people in their literal position like a 5g cell tower based ISP and router because they are scared and old.[/]
