📋 About This Mod
Current version 0.2.0.4: Adds weather to Timberborn. Rain, acid rain, and sandstorms. Storms roll across the map dropping water or sand, then leave. Each event rolls fresh size, shape, and intensity, so two in a row rarely look the same. Also adds a faction-split excavation system so beavers can dig terrain blocks out without dynamite. Everything is tunable in-game. Required Mods: Mod Settings and Harmony. How to support: You can support me by watching the videos and consider subscribing or becoming a member. More mods to come :) Sandstorm addition Original mod What it does Timberborn didn't have day-to-day weather - until now. Droughts and badtides happen at the cycle level, but no rain in between. Rainborn fills that gap with three event types on top of whatever cycle you're in. Clean rain adds water to the surface. Rivers rise, so be careful. Slowly evaporates when the storm ends. Acid rain (optional) drops contaminated water. Usual badwater mechanic, so be wary. Each acid storm now rolls its own concentration, so a mild one is mostly an inconvenience, but a harsh one will gut your stockpiles. The slider in settings is a hard cap on that roll. Sandstorms (experimental) raise terrain. Tiles 'tucked away' behind obstacles or sitting in a dip slowly gain +1 Z of soil. The map changes. How storms work Each event rolls its own duration, intensity, peak radius, and envelope shape at the start. Inside each storm there's a storm center. Inside that center, rain is at full intensity. Outside, it drops sharply to zero at the rim. So you can actually see where the storm is and where it isn't. When the storm ends, audio fades out, water stops being added, and whatever's already on the ground drains through the game's own water sim. Weather modes A single Weather mode dropdown in Mod Settings. Four options: Off: no weather rolls at all. Strict cycle lock: the vanilla cycle de
