📋 About This Mod
Lore The weather has become more unstable then previously anticipated and the climate has become day by day more extreme. Description This mod aims to add the Fun element from Dwarf Fortress to Timberborn by increasing the number of days for hazardous weather at each cycle. Normal game settings such as handicap and weather duration won't work along with this mod. These configurations have been moved to the Mod Settings Features Cycle Duration Incremental Cycle duration will be incremented using the formulas described below indefinitely, there is no cap, see image 2 for examples. Brutal Cycle Duration of a random hazardous cycle is enhanced. See more details below. Enhanced Seepage+Evaporation Flood Weather Inspired by many Flood mods around. The flood intensity increases with the cycles and gradually within the cycle. This means that a flood that happens on cycle 5 is barely noticeable, whereas one on cycle 50 is stronger and also that the volume of the water starts to increase gradually when the Flood weather starts and then it comes back to the normal level at the end. Settings On the beginning of each cycle, the length of a Temperate and Hazardous Weather will be calculated for a given cycle. The Hazardous Weather will be calculated first and then used in the Temperate Weather formula. Each calculation will use its respective Minimal and Maximum multiplier settings applied to the formula's described below. The handicap options for Flood and Badtide work similar as vanilla, so those Weather will just happens after the cycle inserted on those options. As a general rule, if its too hard, disable the Brutal Weather Settings and reduce the multipliers. If you want more unpredictability increase the gap between the Minimal and Maximum multiplier. Except for the Flood Weather, which uses the same calculation but divides by 4 in the end. Hazardous The hazardous cycle duration is now calculated using this simple equation: hcd = a_random_number_between(c * hazardous_mi
