📋 About This Mod

Make NPCs play animations, on both spawned characters and pre-existing characters. Also some objects can be spawned.

Pose mod version 3!! New and improved, now has a user interface AND line trace function so you can make pre-existing NPCs play animations! Includes more NPCs to spawn, ability to move and (kind of) rotate, delete functions, and bonus ability to clone and/or move some objects.

This version has two ways to choose what/who you want to interact with. 1 - drop down menus have various NPCs to choose from to spawn a clone of them. 2 - Point at buttons, which when you press them will get the name/class of whatever it is you're looking at. This has both player eye viewpoint and free camera viewpoint.

How to use:

  • []Push right alt to open the UI. Push it again to make it disappear.

[]Use one of the 2 options above to select your desired NPC or object. The ??? text box will fill with a name with whoever you chose from the drop down or from whoever you're looking at.

[]If you're spawning an NPC try to position yourself where you want to spawn an NPC. Ideally facing the right direction, there are rotation buttons but they are difficult to get right. Then push Spawn Clone of Choice to spawn your NPC. Move in front of them and use the Point to buttons to select them.

[]The middle box has buttons for deleting, moving, and rotating. Rotation is hard to use. Delete has three options, there are important distinctions between them-

  • []Delete All Spawned Companions = Companions spawned with the drop downs are different from the other spawns in this mod. I made them separate actors. I could make all characters separate but it takes way too long so I'm compromising and only doing the companions. Because they're their own thing, they have a tag added to them and only them. This enables deleting only them but all at once.

[]Delete Current Spawn by Class = Deletes by class so it will delete all of them. What this means is if you spawn an extra Reed Tobson and then push this button while Reed Tobson is displayed in the top box, you will delete the original and the clone. If you do this, you can reload or spawn another Reed Tobson. I don't recommend that. Be careful with this delete button.

[]Delete Current Seen Actor = Deletes the current seen actor only, as in the one you have just pointed at. In the above example with Reed, if you push this delete after pointing at the clone, it will only delete the clone. If you point it at the original Reed, it will only delete the original.

    5.  The bottom box has a drop down menu for different sets of animations. Choose one. Then push the Cycle through animations button to go through the     different animations in the set. Push the Pause/unpause button to start or stop the animation while it's playing.

You can use the Point at buttons to interact with objects too. Some won't do anything, some can be deleted, some can be moved around, and some can be spawned. Interactable objects like beds and workbenches can have most things done to them.

If you close the UI, whoever you chose will be unselected.

These notes apply still, please read them:

    Additional problems:

[]Important Note: Please be careful, this mod is experimental. I do not recommend you use it while actually playing the game. Especially if you're deleting whole characters or lots of objects. So far my game is fine but I can't guarantee anything. This mod is for messing around, not actual gameplay.

[]You cannot summon a companion who is or has ever been in your party. Exceptions are on the Unreliable or in the Penthouse suite on Eridanos. These are special areas for some reason, I don't know why, but you can summon your companions there.

[]The spawns are basically copies and they will act like their counterparts except they usually can't move. If you talk to them, they will respond as they would if you met them properly. Meaning, spawn Parvati before you meet her and talk to her - it will trigger the conversation with Reed. I don't know how this might mess up your game so save first. If I add someone who is a shopkeep, you'll be able to trade with them.

[]I said they usually can't move - they will move and attack you if they would normally. Example, if you're kill on sight with the Edgewater, Parvati will attack you. Play an animation and she'll try to attack while in the pose. They will aggro if you punch them or otherwise anger them.

[]You can't change their outfits unfortunately. Companions only on the ship/Penthouse, for the reason above. If you want to do this - change the actual companion's outfit, then you may have to then save the game, load that save, and then spawn them.

[*]They spawn in the location you are standing and the direction you're facing. You can rotate them somewhat but it's not easy. Some animations cause them to walk around, eventually
